Welcome to the Romsey Round Table website

Romsey Round Table consists of a group of like minded guys from Romsey, Wellow, Chandlers Ford and Southampton who get together once a fortnight to have fun. Details of all of some of the things we have done this year are detailed on the news page.

Rib Trip

The Rib trip to Isle of Wight has become an annual tradition

Annual Ski Weekend

What a great event the 2008 ski weekend was - oh and we also did some skiing!

Mummers Play

In December we visit local pubs and raise money for local charities

Ladies Night

Another top performance - but of what?

AGM 2008

Presentation of Tabler of the Year award

However, we also raise thousands of pounds for the local community and in the past have supported the local Scouts & Brownies and a variety of other youth groups. Most recently we raised 17,000 pounds for Naomi House, the local children's hospice.

Please use the links to explore our site and learn more about Romsey Round Table. If you like what you see why not consider joining us.

Romsey Round Table Charity

Over Christmas Romsey Round Table brought the Carol float around the streets of Romsey and visited the Pubs in and around Romsey to perform our Mummer play.

This years main charity was the Hampshire Autistic Society which we recently presented with a check of 1500 Pounds.

Recent Event - Night Orienteering

Taking ourselves of to Farley Mount we set a challenge to navigate around the local area with just a map, a compass and our wits. Well two out of three turned out to be useful.

Splitting up into teams allowed us to create some good natured competition, some of the groups even broke into a run! Although not for too long.

The evening got dark and the touches grabbed in a hurry proved to have little battery remaining. Those who were a bit more organised had head touches and GPS, just in case.

This photo was taken at the start, before the mud splattering to knee height.

Orienteering

With various challenges and questions to answer it seemed like 10 minutes before we were hurrying back to the allotted end point.

Then is was off to the Dolphin at Hursely for some fine food and swapping of tales.

Next Event - Casual Business Meeting

The next event will be on Tuesday 23rd September.  We will be meeting at the Rockingham Arms (Canada Common) to catch up with each other after the summer (ahem) break and to cover some essential preparations for the coming charity season.

Please contact us through our web page if you are a wanting to pop along.
